Shalom and Welcome to our Synagogue
Our Synagogue was founded over 70 years ago and today we are as committed as our founders were then to provide a complete range of religious, social and educational activities.
Being a part of the Liberal Jewish movement we value tradition and all that is good within Judaism and combine it with innovation and forward thinking to provide a secure future for our community and our neighbours. Birmingham Progressive Synagogue is an integral part of the Jewish community in Birmingham but is also at the forefront of interfaith work in Birmingham.
Since December 2005 when we moved out of our old synagogue building we have
flourished in the "wilderness" while we await the completion of our new
building. Our community has enjoyed the warmth and conviviality of our
temporary home at the Friends' Meeting House in Edgbaston and our Religion School is thriving in its new
surroundings. Work on our new building is well advanced as is evident from this recent picture.
Everyone can attend our services or social events and whatever your interests or background you will always be welcome in our synagogue.
